Is Siri AI available in Switzerland?

Short answer

Yes, in English. Apple's support page names two exceptions for Siri AI: iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch in the EU, and Apple Accounts in mainland China. Neither applies to Switzerland. Siri AI is a beta, and Apple says it is currently available in English.

Siri AI in German

Apple's support page lists English as the only Siri AI language for now, so in German you get the regular Siri. To try Siri AI, set both your iPhone language and the Siri language to English on a supported iPhone with iOS 27, then turn Siri AI on. Apple says this adds you to a waitlist, and wait times can vary.

Apple Intelligence in Switzerland

Apple says many Apple Intelligence features are available in most regions on supported iPhones. The exception it names is mainland China: devices bought there, and devices used there with an Apple Account set to mainland China.

German is one of the 16 Apple Intelligence languages, so it works with your iPhone and Siri set to German.

An assistant that works in Switzerland now

Orvena is a free iPhone assistant from Orvena Labs in Denmark. Its own model runs on the iPhone, so it does not depend on Siri AI or on your region, and it keeps working offline once the model is downloaded. It moves calendar events, sets reminders and alarms, finds places, reads your health summaries and searches your photos, and it shows what it did and asks before anything consequential.

Its menus are available in German, and it replies in German. On iOS 27 it can also answer with Apple's on-device model, which supports German, and with Private Cloud Compute through Premium Unlock.

Siri can also hand a question to Orvena in Switzerland: say "Frag Orvena" with Siri set to German, or "Ask Orvena" with Siri set to English.

Orvena needs an iPhone with 8 GB of memory: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or any later model, including iPhone 16e, iPhone 17e, iPhone Air and iPhone Duo, with iOS 26 or later. Apple's on-device model and Private Cloud Compute in Orvena need iOS 27.
